A Bit About Me
I am your art teacher here at St. Peter School. I love working with all of the children on art projects and creating exciting works of art with them.

I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, and attended St. Paul’s, St. Thomas Aquinas, and then Canton McKinley Sr. High School. I joined the Army upon graduation during the Gulf War, and Uncle Sam decided I was needed in Alaska, so was sent there as a telecommunications and radio operator. I enrolled in the University of Alaska while serving and majored in Fine and Applied Art, History, English and Literature. After having three children and working in the Alaska Public Schools for 15 years, I decided to move back to Ohio to be near family. Vermilion has been home to me since 2007.

I enrolled in BGSU, where I received my BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2010. I was employed with VLSD for several years. I have always wanted to work for a school similar to the one I attended growing up, and I feel I have found that here at St. Peter’s School. I love that we are like family, are free to worship God, and learn to love one another. There is no other place I would wish to work than here! I look forward to seeing our students and staff every day.

My hobbies include exploring castles, traveling, history, the arts, cooking, painting, camping, canning, and gardening. I like meeting new people on my travels and learning new things.
I love spending time with my granddaughter Palmer, who is a third grader at our school. There is a good chance you may run into us at Cedar Point over the summer!

I am thrilled to have joined the St. Peter’s School community this year! In my 12 years of experience in education, I have taught students ranging from 3-year-olds to high school seniors. I love that my three children also attend St. Pete’s in grades 3,4 and 7, where they have amazing teachers and the opportunity to pray daily. In my spare time, you will find me reading or watching my children’s sporting events.
