STUDENT LIFE
Student life at St. Peter Catholic school offers a welcoming environment where students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. With a strong focus on Catholic values, students participate in daily prayers, religious education, and service projects. Beyond academics, students engage in a variety of extracurricular activities, clubs, and events that cater to their diverse interests and talents.
Faith Formation
Faith formation at St. Peter’s is a cornerstone of the educational experience, deeply rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Activities
One of our favorite activities is our Family Groups! Each year, all of our students in grades Pre-4 through 8th are assigned to a Family Group. Family Groups are mixed-age groups that meet for monthly collaborative activities such as the Advent and Lenten Retreats, service projects, and much more. Students are able to make connections and friendships with students outside of their regular classrooms.
Camps
As a St. Peter student, you will attend camps and retreats. Our second grade students take part in the day long Jesus Day retreat in preparation for their First Communion. In the fall, our sixth grade class attends the Faith and Reason Retreat at Damascus. Students learn that they can come to know God through the exploration of the natural world in a program permeated by the message of the Gospel. Finally, the seventh and eighth graders participate in the NET Retreat. The purpose of the retreat is to challenge young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church.
CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) Sports
CYO sports offer our students the opportunity to participate in various athletic activities within a supportive and Catholic environment. Sports include popular team sports such as basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. CYO sports integrate values-based education, incorporating lessons of respect, responsibility and integrity which align with our Catholic principles.
